The katydid is still hanging around my back steps. Not sure if it's too cold to fly, or if it can't find its way out of the stairwell. I hope it's not thinking about moving in for the winter, Snip may think it's some sort of weird green mouse.

Snip should thank her lucky stars that I'm constitutionally incapable of making To-Do lists. :)

Christopher Walken appears to be winning the scariness poll in a runaway, which doesn't exactly surprise me. For those of you still pondering the unguessed movie quotes, by way of a second round of hints I will reveal that Mr. Walken does indeed star in one of the three remaining mystery films; I'll spot you Gene Hackman and Oliver Reed for the others. (Iggy Pop just randomly creeps me out.)


Had a furniture delivery to receive through the back stairwell (the living-room chairs, finally), so I brought the katydid inside to warm up for a while before chucking it out into the relative safety of the front garden. It seemed pleased to be rescued, although it left a surprisingly large turd in the jar I had it in. One doesn't usually think of insects in that capacity.
