The Prequel's Progress: 36,493, and had to stop for now upon discovering that my Muse has apparently made herself too much to home with the new word processor:

Which I probably ought to have been expecting, considering that she woke me up way too early this morning to explain in some detail how this pregnancy is not in fact that character's first, and then went off to breakfast somewhere with her Muse friends and left me standing in the kitchen wondering who to drag up on disciplinary charges first, her or the characters involved. And then I went and worked on that fight scene with ilwitchgrrl's punchbowl instead, just to spite her.

Gaius is now playing "Holding out for a Hero" again. It's a conspiracy, I tells ya.
