  • New Thing Learned for 22 May: The Superman costume on The Adventures of Superman was brown and gray, so it would "read" properly on the black&white film. When later episodes were shot in color, the new blue and red costume was nearly indistinguishable on a monochrome set. [Source: Hollywoodland.]

  • New Thing Learned for 23 May: The "6" on the handle of my cricket bat means that it's the largest kiddie size, about 2" shorter than an adult bat. You don't need to know what I'm doing with a cricket bat. [Source: Cricket for Dummies.]
