Friday night excitement: the carbon-monoxide alarm went off again. Called the fire department to check the place over with their tricorder, just to be sure that it was another false alarm from a unit at the end of its lifespan (the worst they could find was a tiny reading near the stove but they said it was within safe parameters, we'd just finished cooking something), so getting a new alarm goes onto the errand-list for the weekend... {sigh} Now there are greasy fingerprints on the ceiling. Bother.

(It was the same guys who showed up. Which is kind of embarrassing, but better safe than sorry, they agree. :) )
