People who get paid by the word, I suspect:

Dear Valued Customer:

ComEd's Vegetation Management Department has scheduled maintenance tree trimming in the surrounding area. Tree Trimming may or may not be required on your property. We will be trimming trees and brush that interfere with electric wires running from pole to pole. This prevents reliability problems and extensive trimming in the future. This work is necessary because trees interfering with electric wires cause service outages and safety hazards.

The work is scheduled to begin in the near future. The tree trimming will be performed by a line clearance tree trimming company, using qualified utility arborists. There is no charge for this professional service. There is no need to respond to this notice. All trees requiring trimming will be maintained during this project. However, if you are not the property owners, please forward this notice to the owner.

Maps of the affected areas are on file at your local municipal or county office. Property owners may appeal planned vegetation management activities through ComEd or the Illinois Commerce Commission. If you have questions regarding vegetation management activities, you may call 1-800-Edison-1 (1-800-334-7661) and ask to speak with a Vegetation Management Representative or visit our website at www.ceco.com/vegmanagement. You may also request a written copy of the dispute resolution process. To contact a Consumer Affairs Officer of the Illinois Commerce Commission, call 1-800-524-0795.

The truly hilarious part of this is that not only are we renters in a block of flats, there are no relevant trees on the property to begin with.
