Rumors to the contrary (...come on, somebody must have been worrying), I have not been carried off by the plague, nor perished in some variously horrible way related to last Friday having been bargain day at the Brandeis book sale; the extended radio-silence of late has been me trying to be Virtuous about not sitting here dicking around aimlessly on the computer when I'm supposed to be working on a Query Letter to at least one of the agents I encountered during WisCon.
Which, naturally, means that I've knitted 3/4 of a new winter scarf, finished the red lace scarf I was working on at WisCon, started a lace shawl four times over, finished part of a present for a small child of my acquaintance, turned an entire 110-yard ball of cotton yarn into small pattern swatches, pulled out and restarted the wrist-warmer I finished at WisCon because I wasn't happy with the thumb-opening, and cast on the toeparts of a sock. My Muse is a perverted little skank.
But, the sudden reappearance of Stooge, Stooge & Stooge Plumbing And Drywall Demolition on Monday notwithstanding (the water in the kitchen was off all weekend, and then they came and took away the sink...), said Query Letter is now 90% done and awaiting suggestions from Mum. Will contemplate further additions and revisions over the weekend for a target mailing date of "first thing Monday"...
WisCon report still forthcoming, BTW. (See remarks on "dicking around aimlessly", above)
