Editing progess: Cube root of bugger-all, but I did get some editing of the house done over the weekend, which is really the problem -- among other things, I had to take the accumulated trash out before I could get into the refrigerator to find myself some breakfast. So today has been going by in a frenzy of Tidying Up; more stuff appropriate for eBay has come to light as we have been going through the boxes that haven't been looked in since the last move back in 1997, so I've been trying to get on top of that to-do pile. Since I can't concentrate anyway, I've sat down here to type some of it up.

Younger and More Sensitive Viewers may wish to forego the following episode of Feline Bodily Function Theater:

Another lapse from Snip to report, but this one may have been provoked. While I was checking my eBaying-in-progess this morning, Weasel ran under my desk, urped up some kibble (narrowly missing the surge protector), and then headed straight for my bed, making further upchucking sound effects as she went. I pursued her, but not in time to prevent the urping up of more kibble on the bed -- on the fly, which is always a joy to behold. Since I was on-line, I didn't want to stop long enough to clean up the urp...

Which was a mistake.

Snip evidently misinterpreted the urped-up kibble at some point; when I finally became free to get up and investigate the mess that Weasel had made, I found a fresh damp spot in the vicinity. Changed cover sheet, sponged and flipped-over dropcloth since I'm out of replacements just now (must remember to buy more dropcloths, and damn it I was just in Home Depot the other night, too...), and went to clean out catbox, which seems to have fallen through the cracks of 'I thought YOU did it' for a day or so -- damn, this cat is picky... And I really begin to wonder if this has something to do with my computer usage patterns, since she was FINE the whole five weeks I didn't have a proper Mac in the house.

@#!$$ lunatic cat.

Cubs won ANOTHER ballgame last night, this is getting seriously Not Funny. Even the guy on Chicago Tonight was making nervous wisecracks about the Apocalypse. Look, there was a reason that the 'Cubs beat Florida in World Series' gag in Back To The Future #2 was funny -- because neither effin' ballteam is supposed to win games. Get with the program, guys, you're freaking me out here...
