...What, xmas is next Monday? Uh, time to throw out the pumpkin, I guess:
Yes, that is a pumpkin in the process of, well, deflating. Crossing my fingers for a good hard freeze...
I successfully baked a box-mix of roll-out-and-cut cookies last night, go me. Unfortunately, I developed an allergic headache from the icing that came in the kit, so my loss shall be the knitting guild's gain later tonight. (No idea why They decreed that cinnamon-bun bears should have flavored icing rather than just plain sugar, but I know I've had that particular headache before...) Still, confidence in my having any baking skills whatsoever has been nudged up sufficient notches from the experience that I may well get around to tackling scratch-gingerbread sooner rather than later, schedule allowing. Watch this space for news of whether I have a kitchen left afterwards. :)
