The best gobsmacked xmas-morning look since the Cabbage Patch Wars -- priceless
No, not expecting that, not one bit, and it takes a lot to get the holiday drop on me these days. For my part, I spent part of that eBay cash on some fetching bunny slippers for Mum, which went over smashingly with her but not so much so with Weasel, whose favorite words were already "Run away! Run away!" even before this latest outrage. So, giftage ceremony well-received all round for once, after too many years of not being in the mood to put a tree up even if we had the space for it, and would be looking forward to New Year's even more if I didn't feel like I was coming down with a cold...
(And I would like to state for the record that somewhat contrary to the above attempt at Humor, I was a declared noncombatant in the aforementioned Cabbage Patch Wars, as the fighting broke out during a period in which I wasn't eligible to enlist on either side of the conflict due to Impending Jaded Adolescence. So there.)
