Very pleased now that last weekend's efforts to tame what remains of the "to-do pile" in the workroom led to the recovery of my down-simulant duvet, as once again I have managed to pick the coldest bedroom in the apartment, and having to keep the door shut when I'm not in here to provide Adult Supervision to Snip isn't helping. Still, the lowest the thermostat's read so far is a balmy 67 degrees, and after I made sure that all the windows I can currently reach are making a proper seal at top and bottom, conditions in the bedroom-slash-office are reasonable enough to put off learning how the furnace works until the real cold hits. Gotta love that earth-sheltered heat retention.
Free to good home: Also found in the excavation work on the "to-do pile" were two Faire-style shirts, which testing proved to have shrunk {ahem} to a degree that they no longer pass over the Shoulders Of Doom, much less the Bosoms Of Doom; if anybody out there can fit into 20"-across-the-armholes, they're yours. They're cotton, AFAICR, the white one's fairly lightweight and the natural is sturdier. Holler if you're interested...
