Microwave Repair Guy took one look and said that it's most likely the magnowhatsit, which is still under warranty, so $181 for service call and labor; he's kind of a weedy older guy, though, so given the choice between helping him hoist it down or putting it off until he could bring a friend, I decided to play the Girl Card for once in my butch DIY fish-with-a-bicycle life and rescheduled for next ~~payday~~ Thursday. :) Hey, been living without it this long, eh...?
