The episodes of "Antiques Roadshow" that filmed here last summer are beginning to air; I didn't see myself in the first one last Monday, alas, but there's another Chicago episode next Monday at 8 PM, so the curious may wish to set their television-recording-devices. I wish I had enough room in this dump to hold a viewing party so we could play "Spot Sam's Huge Ass"...
Still infested with workmen. The hole in the closet is sealed up to a reasonable degree of competance, however I'm not too pleased with the half-assed raw-concrete job they made of the bathroom floor. Over the weekend we'll have a stab at finding some tiles to finish off, wish us luck. Creepy Guy, who is evidently in charge of this phase of the project, had a go at the drippy toilet pipe today and suceeded only in making matters worse; he alleges he shall return tomorrow afternoon for another attempt. I suspect we shall end up needing an entirely new toilet by the time this is finished... Oh, and the break that they ripped the place up to fix is evidently not the entire story qua the lake in the lobby; explorations continue, hopefully not in our own apartment. Stay tuned for further exciting episodes of "Renovation Nightmare Theatre"...
