Saw yet another turtle (if not the same one again) at that muddy bank of the river. I'm thinking by now that it/they aren't snappers, the shell is much too domed, but I haven't been able to find a domed-shell turtle on any of the local-fauna references that's bigger than a saucer, and these are definitely the diameter of dinner plates... Anybody? {sigh} I knew I should have schlepped over to the nature museum while it was still warm enough not to have to take the bus from the L...
