The Prequel's Progress: WP's count: 19310 -- met session target for yesterday, then blew off today catching up on library books. But at least the pictures are back...
About a year ago this week, a kitten came into the world, dressed in formalwear and harboring a mind far advanced from the usual run of catkind (such as Weasel, who I'm afraid is only just smarter than Captain Blowmonkey). Twelve weeks later, on the summer solstice, we got suckered into taking her home. Since then, Snip has grown from kitten to cat to killer-whale, managing by dint of extreme cuteness not to get herself beaten to death for peeing in our beds on far too many occasions. (She's actually been good on that score for about a month now, knock wood.) She plays Fetch, she understands how things drop down and come out the other side of furniture, she can see the TV, and just last night I caught her letting herself into the cupboard under the sink, presumably to see if we had any materials that could be improvised into a bomb. So, now that the film has (finally!) come back, please visit the updated Gallery of Snip. Or she will hunt you down like those mice she caught last fall.
I'm feeling ambivalent as to whether to make a big gift-whoring deal out of the fact that my own birthday is next Friday --
