Fear [livejournal.com profile] cinnajess's car. Seriously, go fear it, I'll wait.

OK, you're back? Good. Quite the amusing social exercise that was, although once the evening dragged on into the attempted Hendrix impressions I decided it was probably getting on towards my bedtime anyway.

Since that event had started at 5, Mum and I put off getting to "Shrek 2" until the Sunday, and then ended up screwing around with our errands until after the matinee showings had all sold out. And then, just as the Argument about whether we wanted to pay full-price or wait until next weekend or even later was about to start, Mum looked up at the price-list and noticed their "seniors" rate, which is the same as the matinee price... So the upshot is that there's only $3.50 difference between making it to the matinee or not when I go to movies with her at this theater, so we might actually be able to get to more movies than we had been. Just in time for the summer crapload of blockbusters...

Anyway, "Shrek 2". Go see it. But for the love of god, don't stand up to flood out of the auditorium until the credits proper start rolling... {annoyed glare at rude fellow patrons who clogged up the view of the "stinger" clip}

And then we come out of the theater, and Mum grumbles as we approach the car, still rummaging around in her purse, "Where are the damn keys...?"

"In the ignition," I chirp, trotting around the side of the car to look.

But fortunately, the longtime reader will recall that the last time this happened Provisions were Made. Just a damn good thing that nobody in Skokie would bother to steal a Ford Focus, though.

Still trying to get it together to get myself up to WisCon: I now have a ride, but I'd still need a place to stay... Anyone? Anyone?
