The landlady has finally conceded that her efforts to date regarding the creepycrawly Situation in our building have been inadequate and agreed to call in professional reinforcements. Exterminators will be coming round in a week, maybe two, to do whatever it is that real exterminators do in this day and age.
This presents me with a problem. I've got chemical allergies up the proverbial wazoo, and an unfortunate incident during our move a few years back leaves me particularly sensitive to pesticides. So if Orkinix or whomever are to do a proper job in our building, including hitting our unit, I may need to not be here for a couple of days or even more, which means that I have to scramble to find a place to stay until the all-clear. I'm waaaay too broke to just hole up in a hotel for the duration, alas... So I'll throw this open to the Readers, while I'm checking my own sources-such-as-they-are: has anybody got a spare-room type of situation I could come and crash in for a short while sometime in the near future? My undying gratitude would be your only reward, but hey, who knows what that might be worth someday, eh? ;)
EDIT: Forgot to add that I guess depending on whom the landlady hires the cats might need to evacuate as well, which would mean they'd come along with me. So factor that in with your kind offers, thanks...
