The Prequel's Progress: 24648. Narrator being somewhat more cooperative of late as the overall shape of the project comes into more focus; previously random-seeming bits of business are beginning to reveal how they interlock to form an overall structure to the piece, and one thing builds from another in the writing. (Also I let him out to bother some debutantes, which seems to have helped him find his motivation for the next couple of scenes.) Still pondering the synopsis rewrite for Manuscript #1, which involves plopping myself down with the complete text again in an uninterrupted block of time for starters.


Am I imagining it or has it been rainy and/or cold on every single Tuesday during this entire "movies in Grant Park" season? I've seen Invasion of the Body Snatchers enough times already that I'm giving tonight's outing a miss on account of that looming cloud-cover out there, not to mention that it's chilly enough I've had to turn off the fans. Grrar. Still, it was nice to be able to get up and actually walk over to see out the window unimpeded for the first time in a couple of months -- yay, weekend housecleaning binge. There are still a lot of Obstacles in the dining room, but at least they're more mobile than before.





In memory of Fay Wray they'll be dimming the lights on the Empire State Building tonight. Heh.
