So the Alleged Plumber has finally been and gone, and now the sink is no longer draining out a hole in the U-bend; in fact, the sink is no longer draining at all, and remains half-full of rusty Drano-stinking water as of this moment. We shall take this up with the landlady first thing tomorrow.
(The Alleged Plumber, BTW, is the same Creepy Maintainance Guy who attempted to repair the leaky toilet with cement last winter. Communications with landlady will raise this point in an attempt to secure the services of a Real Plumber...)
