Seen flitting across the Truman College marquee last night as I was on my way downtown:
And not a moment too soon, it would appear. :)
As is becoming my habit after Meetups at Goose Island, I walked down Sheffield to catch the Red Line at Belmont, both to get some exercise and because I find the North/Clybourn stop unutterably dreary. It was just on the chilly side of nice out, so this gave me an opportunity to field-test my new gloves. Preliminary finding is that they seem to have stretched a bit when I washed them, because wool can do that on you sometimes, so the fingers were a bit drafty and clumsy; fortunately, one of wool's other properties is to shrink into felt at the slightest provocation, so I filled a mixing-bowl with hot water and a dash of laundry soap and had at with the agitation until the gloves fit like, well, a glove. We shall see if this has addressed the problem the next time it's cold enough out to warrant gloves...
