OK, I've just mailed out the accounting-for-the-funds emails for the 'Griff's Medical Fund', so if you know that you donated and you don't receive an email within a short while, contact me and I'll try to match you up to the PayPal records...
Too cloudy last night for the Mars viewing, we'll see about maybe tonight. I gather that it's supposed to rain until Sunday, though.
Still too mopey to work. Hoping I'll feel more settled about things once I've got the body back in my custody and have had a chance to price-out some of the alternative solutions that have been made (Small Dog, etc). Will investigate Apple Loan program, but between you and me and the rest of the internet, my credit rating looks like about what you would imagine an artist's credit rating would look like... {sigh} Must keep reminding myself that, dammit, this IS my 'day-job' and I have just as much right as any plumber or mechanic to obtain and maintain the tools of my trade, even if that does mean I'm talking something more in the price-range of a small appliance than a $12 wrench. (Considering what the average lifespan of computers is, I think I've been downright frugal about maintaining the darn things long past the point where most reasonable people would have chucked them out a window already. In fact, somebody DID chuck out this very IIci...) But that's a rant for another occasion...
