OK, worked my way through season one of the Game of Thrones adaptation and, um... I think I'm rooting for the ancient evil from beyond the Wall to come down and eat all of these jerks to clear the way for the Glorious Peasant Revolution, assuming of course that there are actually some peasants hidden away somewhere considering that 4/5 of the economy appears to be based on prostitution and I'm kind of missing how that works as any sort of viable model. (Have I mentioned before that I seem to be allergic to unironic "It's A Well-Off White Guy's World After All" settings...?) I do have the actual BOOK out of the library just now, with the vague intent of plowing through it at some point (I had been putting this off for fear of Author Existence Failure kicking in before it was all finished), but I must confess I'm not feeling all that motivated to make the investment of time this bloody thing represents unless there's some cleverer payoff than the usual rich people squabbling over only having 99.999% of everything BS...
