YarnCon went much better than last year, because there was Parking and also No Hail (which is sort of like managing to do the Tea and No Tea simultaneously thing, at certain times of the year), but man, have I been trashed these past few days. No energy and... um... lingering complaints which we shall leave unspecified because you really don't want to know, have had me in a mood to do little more than sit in front of the tv and knit all week. Which is rarely a good idea for extended periods like that. Did I mention that I was already thinking that cybermats were kind of cuddly...?

A Fun with Cameras installment )
We rejoin our invaders as the Away Team comes out of decontamination... )

(And, yes, that is an entire washing-machine full of daleks. Well, they're sitting on a layer of actual washing to get their heads up level with the lid, but... yeah.)
Well, since I need to sit here for another 56 minutes for an Inexplicable Battery Recharge anyway, I suppose George may be hinting that it's time to sit down and sort out our next episode:

Fiberfill of the Daleks: Voyage of the Small and Plushy )
Still critically short of spoons for this week, but alas, that only affects my Thinkin' Hand...

This is just getting silly, I realise )

First of all, the jello is not the only thing that is Evil...

So yes, the Evil Mold is indeed suitable for batter-based products as well. This was a box of organic gingerbread mix that had probably been in the cupboard a little too long, or was just organic, or something, and turned out not to have been worth the hassle really. I believe it's still out there somewhere in the kitchen, waiting to turn the tables and devour the unwary. No, I don't have the world's best luck with gingerbread, really...

But here, have some more successful craft endeavours:

Brain-weasels getting very stroppy about continued lack of measurable direction in Life. I'm considering whether maybe I should just say "This original-fiction manuscript isn't doing me or anyone else any good sitting in the trunk, why not serialize it online here and at least give a couple of people besides me a few laughs out of it?" 'Cos it's not as if there's ever been any money in this game to begin with, and with the current state of the publishing industry on top of everything else the original baseline state of despair about the opportunities is starting to look pretty good in retrospect... So, what do y'all think, would that plan have any takers?

But meanwhile,
back at the knitted ranch.... )
They're BAAAack... )

And I still have way too much of this yarn for comfort, dammit...
Um, so, and then I got a little distracted, and, well, this is Murray:

GIVE US A CUD-DLE! )

Actually started this Sunday night, believe it or not, after putting it off for years -- it's a very quick knit even with all those @!##$ dalek bumps bobbles. Big hand for my lovely and talented assistants Captain Jack Coat Bear and Ianto and Owen...
{drops everything and goes to rummage through Stash...}

New Thing Learned for 15 May: ...Although despite their increased beefiness, it is still possible to do violence to Tinkertoys if they become so firmly stuck together that one has to apply the Jaws of Life to get them apart. [Source: an accident resulting in two broken spools, yes, spools...]
